Family's are notified for incidents  with injury or transport only 

Notify DON for: unexpected death, elopement, med error that would require a manager to go on site asap, VA reportable events police presence not EMS falls with injury transport via EMS or any fall with injury 

Notify LALD: Building emergency (fire, flood, power outage) Law enforcement outside of EMSunexpected death, elopement and VA reportable events 

Fax update to primary if fax number is listed in chart, if no fax number be sure to update DON to follow up next business day.
